Do you remember that their record was terrible? We were a SB contender, and we lost to them. Ouch. It shows that the worst team can beat the best.

Khalil Mack highlights | 2019 season

There's a quarterback competition in Chicago, perhaps you've heard.
Nick Foles has arrived and is aiming to unseat Mitchell Trubisky.
As training camp carries on and the QB1 battle wages, the face of the franchise Khalil Mack let it be known where his loyalty lies: Winning.
"Whether it's [No.] 9 or 10, we're gonna win," Mack said Saturday, via the Chicago Sun-Times' Patrick Finley.
No. 9 is Foles, No. 10 is Trubisky and eight is the number of wins the Bears cobbled together in a 2019 season that collapsed short of expectations put forth by an NFC North-championship 2018 campaign.
When last season limped to its conclusion, the biggest, baddest Bear's final comments to reporters in December were that the season "definitely wasn't what I wanted."
On a summer Saturday in Chi-Town, he echoed those same sentiments.

"I wasn't good enough," Mack said, via USA Today. "Wasn't good enough at all. Understanding that, there are different intangibles that came with it. I don't make any excuses. I just rise to the occasion and I am getting ready for this one. It's gonna be a fun one, man, I can't wait."
A Chicago Bear emerging from hibernation and channeling his inner Bart Scott, Mack's comments are those of a midway monster left hungry from a 2019 season that was hardly filling.
Across the NFL and the world at large, there is much trepidation for the unknown ahead amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Mack, one of the most feared pass rushers in all the land, is speaking of fun and anticipation, sure to curve a smile upon Bears fans' faces and strike a bit of fear into opposing quarterbacks.
"I know myself," he said. "I know what I'm capable of. And this is gonna be fun, man. I can't wait to get out there with my teammates and make plays and give oohs and ahhs to the TV crowd. And all that that brings, it brings me joy, man. I love this game. It's fun. I don't stress over this game. But I love it and I just can't wait to get out there with my guys."

  I feel sorry JC
Posted by: George Halas - 08-23-2020, 01:07 AM - Forum: Chicago Bears Football - No Replies

He got scammed by an entrepreneur. I watched Cavallari on Laguna Beach. The show rocked. I put the drapes down so no one knew I was watching. Lmao

JC is now going to be looking for singles. It is sad. Diabetes two destroyed him. He was energetic before. He volunteered to throw at earl bennett’s pro day. He had a cutoff sleeve shirt. His arms were huge. He benched 225 like 25 times at his rookie proday.

His life is a depressing American tragedy. I feel for you JC. You would have went to the HOF if it were not for diabetes two. Uhhhh.

Sad, sad, sad.

If you are reading, hit me up. We can complain about princesses.

The Shoopster has decided to post on ChiCityBears.com
Posted by: Shoopster - 08-22-2020, 05:55 PM - Forum: Chicago Bears Football - No Replies

Good afternoon gentlemen and maybe a few ladies.

I have an announcement: I, THE SHOOPSTER, will be posting on ChiCityBears.com from now on.

Why? The owner supports freedom of speech with just a few limitations. I support free speech with some limitations as well. I took political science classes. They actually came in handy.

In any case, I wanted to let you know that the days of entertaining, delightful, and humorous posts is back after my hiatus.

Oh, yeah...baby.

Tell your friends.

There is one thing that will change. My game reviews will be....BETTER. They will be more sophisticated. They will be written in Biblical style this time, but there will be Shoopster elements, too. Indeed, get ready for poetry my friends. The SHOOPSTER's mojo is back...It is a long story. @#$#$$ doctors....

I hope we can have a lively discussion in my posts.

Thank you and May God Bless ChiCityBears.com.

Peace. Smile

The Washington Football Team will be rallying around its head coach in 2020.
Ron Rivera has been diagnosed with squamous cell cancer, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports, per a Washington Football Team spokesman.
ESPN first reported the news.
Rivera, 58, will continue coaching this season, per Garafolo. In a statement released by the team, Rivera's cancer is in an early stage and is considered very treatable and curable, which provides a good prognosis for the coach. The team also announced a "Plan B" is in place if it is determined that Rivera should take some time off.

Squamous cell carcinoma is a common form of skin cancer that develops in the squamous cells that make up the middle and outer layers of the skin, according to the Mayo Clinic. Although it is not considered life-threatening, the cancer can be aggressive.
Washington hired Rivera in late December after an eight-and-a-half-season tenure with the Carolina Panthers. Rivera led the Panthers to Super Bowl 50 and was twice recognized as the AP NFL Coach of the Year during his time in Carolina.
Rivera has been involved in the NFL for over 35 years. A second-round draft pick out of the University of California, Berkeley, Rivera played nine years in the NFL as a linebacker for the Chicago Bears from 1984-92, which included a win in Super Bowl XX. Rivera's coaching career would also be jump-started in Chicago when he became the Bears' defensive coordinator in 2004
